Every year, the Smithsonian Institution strives to maximize its National Education Summit’s impact in person and globally. Their challenge is envisioning an experience that inspires educators with aspirational moments in person while creating a virtual experience that engages and innovates globally.

Hosted by the Smithsonian’s Office of the Under Secretary for Education, the National Education Summit aims to inspire educators around the globe through innovative practices. Its focus is on leveraging art to connect the past with the present, inclusive storytelling, global awareness with local action, and civic engagement by youth.

With a theme of ‘Connecting at the Intersections,’ Linder’s partnership for this year’s National Education Summit helped execute a dynamic and inclusive environment by facilitating the attendee journey to create memorable moments in person and virtually.

A Hybrid Meeting of the Minds

Linder eagerly rose to the occasion to help produce this year’s hybrid Summit, leveraging our expertise in creating inclusive experiences for all attendees—near and far. We strategically designed an event website focused on registration for sessions, workshops, and keynotes, with the capability to invite a larger audience to learn more about each element of the three-day conference.

With the powerful Swoogo event platform, the Linder team seamlessly convened thousands of participants, both virtual and in-person, in varying recorded, live, keynote, and town hall sessions. We proudly allowed both audiences to engage in real-time with the curriculum, content, and speakers.

Event Partnership Success

With the goal of educational innovation and inclusivity, we proudly integrated a hybrid model establishing broader participation. Focusing on strategic planning combined with effective execution, the diverse range of sessions resulted in an enriching experience for all attendees.

It is always a unique approach when executing a hybrid event to establish the extra steps for an equally valuable experience for all attendees. From QR codes on nametags with instant access to content, to communicating session reminders and descriptions, to creating accessible to speak with keynotes and session speakers, to facilitating in-person and virtual networking opportunities.
