Linder is looking for individuals with experience in event transportation, transportation manifests, or event logistics to join our team of transportation contractors. Our contractors have outstanding guest service skills and demonstrated success in event logistics and transportation. They are problem solvers with attention to detail.

NEW! Logistics + Festival Intern

The Linder internship program provides an interactive, educational and hands-on learning experience for individuals interested in the Events Industry. Specifically, this internship position will focus on our live events and festival events. Interns work directly with the Logistics Team along with project leads and teams across multiple projects. They are encouraged to be an active participant in discussions, share ideas and feedback, and pursue areas they are particularly interested in. Intern will establish professional contacts with vendors in the industry through participation on several events, both during the planning process and on-site execution. At Linder, interns learn how to think on their feet and understand how to manage vendors in the world of live events and festivals.

Linder interns are provided with beginning, middle and end check-ins as well as office hours with employees of their choosing, including those from the executive team – an opportunity to ask questions, such as career or industry related, and discuss topics of interest. Interns will be included in learning sessions to get a deeper understanding of the various elements that go into creating and executing a flawless event.

An Intern at Linder is responsible for supporting their team’s roster by ensuring all deliverables meet Linder’s standards of excellence and every effort has been made to meet if not exceed clients’ expectations. This goal will be accomplished by working to provide the best services and products to the clients while being an integral contributor to a successful work environment for all team members involved.

Responsibility of the Intern:

  • Assist with meeting preparation and note taking
  • Help print and assemble onsite logistics binders and information
  • Update production/event timelines
  • Professionally and efficiently respond to email and calls to/from clients and vendors
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of projects and communicate clearly and efficiently to each project team member on assigned tasks
  • Work proactively on all deliverables, both internal and client-facing
  • Take direction from the project lead and anticipate, recognize, analyze and solve problems involving clients and team members
  • Be highly organized, detail oriented and able to meet deadlines
  • Accept, follow and implement Linder’s procedures and policies
  • Exemplify Linder’s core values, mission and commitment to the company, fellow team members, clients and vendors

Qualifications:

  • Schedule permits a minimum commitment of 24 hours per week
  • Prior event experience is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (to include Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments and willingness to go above and beyond what is asked of the intern
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to work in a team setting and contribute to team strategy and dynamic

Compensation:

This internship is a highly educational experience. While it is technically classified as unpaid, we do provide a weekly $50 transportation stipend. Based on feedback from advisors and mentors, interns are also eligible to receive an end-of-semester bonus.
