Event Transportation/Logistics Contractor

Linder is looking for individuals with experience in event transportation, transportation manifests, or event logistics to join our team of transportation contractors. Our contractors have outstanding guest service skills and demonstrated success in event logistics and transportation. They are problem solvers with attention to detail.

NEW! Event Intern

The Linder internship program provides an interactive, educational and hands-on learning experience for individuals interested in the Events Industry. Interns work directly with project leads and teams on multiple projects and are encouraged to be an active participant in discussions, share ideas and feedback, and pursue areas they are particularly interested in. Interns will learn the ins and outs of event planning and production, from event strategy and logistics to on-site event execution.

At Linder, interns learn how to think on their feet and understand how to manage vendors in the world of catering, décor, collaterals, audio visual, valet and more. Linder interns are also provided with beginning, middle and end check-ins as well as office hours with employees of their choosing, including those from the executive team – an opportunity to ask questions, such as career or industry related, and discuss topics of interest.
An Intern at Linder is responsible for supporting their team’s roster by ensuring all deliverables meet Linder’s standards of excellence and every effort has been made to meet if not exceed clients’ expectations. This goal will be accomplished by working to provide the best services and products to the clients while being an integral contributor to a successful work environment for all team members involved.

Responsibility of the Intern:

  • Maintain thorough knowledge of projects and communicate clearly and efficiently to each project team member on assigned tasks
  • Work with fellow team members to incorporate new knowledge in anticipation of and in response to changes to projects
  • Work proactively on all deliverables, both internal and client-facing
    Take direction from the project lead and anticipate, recognize, analyze and solve problems involving clients and team members
  • Be highly organized, detail oriented and able to meet deadlines
  • Support client needs and Linder team structure as necessary in each project
  • Accept, follow and implement Linder’s procedures and policies
  • Exemplify Linder’s core values, mission and commitment to the company, fellow team members, clients and vendors

Qualifications:

  • Schedule permits a minimum commitment of 24 hours per week
  • Prior event experience is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (to include Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments and willingness to go above and beyond what is asked of the intern
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to work in a team setting and contribute to team strategy and dynamic

NEW! Marketing Intern

The Linder internship program provides an interactive, educational and hands-on learning experience for individuals interested in the Marketing & Events Industry. The intern will work directly with the Marketing Manager to understand all aspects of creating and executing on an effective marketing plan for a medium-sized company, including social media engagement, content marketing, podcast production and marketing, live event coverage, and much more. The Linder Marketing Intern is encouraged to be an active participant in discussions, share ideas and feedback, and pursue areas in which they are particularly interested. Linder interns are also provided with beginning, middle and end check-ins as well as office hours with employees of their choosing, including those from the executive team – an opportunity to ask questions, such as career or industry related, and discuss topics of interest.

An Intern at Linder is responsible for supporting the projects assigned to them by coordinating with the Marketing Manager and any other team members to ensure that the scope of work is complete and satisfactory in that it meets Linder’s standards of excellence and every effort has been made to meet, if not exceed, expectations. This goal will be accomplished by working to provide the best services, content, and products to the clients and digital Linder network while being an integral contributor to a successful work environment.

  • Highly organized, detail oriented and able to meet deadlines
  • Passionate about marketing and communications with an interest in Events
  • Accepts, follows and implements Linder’s procedures and policies
  • Exemplifies Linder’s core values, mission and commitment to the company, fellow team members, clients and vendors

Learning Objectives:

  1. Intern will establish professional contacts with vendors in the industry through participation on several digital marketing initiatives, including a podcast, as well as onsite exposure to and ownership of events coverage
  2. Intern will learn the development and implementation process of a full marketing plan for a mid-size company, including the research, testing, and analytics that help inform a successful marketing strategy

Compensation:
This internship is a highly educational experience. While it is technically classified as unpaid, we do provide a weekly $50 transportation stipend. Based on feedback from advisors and mentors, interns are also eligible to receive an end-of-semester bonus.
