Pride 2024: A Multi-City Celebration with Destination DC
With the world coming to Washington, D.C. for World Pride 2025, our partner, Destination DC, turned to Linder Global Events to envision a multi-city activation highlighting the wonder of Washington, D.C., and the excitement of the 50th Anniversary of World Pride. This partnership launched an immersive marketing celebration across five cities that featured festival-inspired carnival activations, a miniature Lincoln Memorial photo booth, over one hundred thousand branded rubber ducks, two Washington National Presidents, and over ten million visitors celebrating diversity, love, and community, creating memorable experiences filled with joy and pride.
Promoting World Pride 2025
The objectives for this year’s Pride events were to boost awareness of World Pride 2025, organize vibrant and inclusive celebrations nationwide, engage local LGBTQ+ communities and allies, and ensure a consistent thematic experience across all cities, setting the stage for next year’s grand celebration.
We partnered with Design Foundry to create elements that highlight Washington, D.C. while engaging with the unique Pride audiences to bring a memorable and inviting environment.
And if a parade is happening, we want in! Washington, D.C. is known for its site-seeing buses, so Linder and Destination DC collaborated on a nationwide bus wrap campaign to promote World Pride on the road. These eye-catching buses were a constant presence throughout D.C. all summer and traveled nationwide, maintaining excitement and anticipation for the upcoming World Pride event.
Inclusive Experiences
Each element of the activations provided an interactive opportunity for spectators and parade-goers alike – from giveaways to photo opportunities to celebrity guests (including our beloved Washington Nationals presidents!) to raffles, everything was intentionally put together to provide a memorable experience that guests will want to come next year to DC!
