Our VP of Logistics Accepted into Prestigious Executive Leader Program
Congratulations to Linder Global’s Vice President of Logistics Management Services, Linda Lindamood on her acceptance into the Center for Homeland Security and Defense, Navy Postgraduate School’s Executive Leader Program. The Executive Leaders Program provides the educational opportunity for government agencies and the private sector to collaborate and develop the strategies, policies and organizational elements needed to combat extremist and terrorism in the United States.
The application process and acceptance into the Executive Leaders Program is highly competitive. The Executive Leaders Program is primarily offered to local, state, tribal and federal government agencies with only two (2) private sector seats allotted per class. The selection process is an arduous task. Thousands of applications are submitted annually but only thirty (30) participants are selected per program. Most importantly, applicants must demonstrate how their individual and professional acumen will contribute to enhancing the homeland security enterprise.
The event industry has historically been a soft target for terrorism. The tragedies in Vegas, Orlando, and Manchester, have caused a paradigm shift in how event professionals and stakeholders address safety and security planning for large scale public events. Event professionals must place greater focus on prevention planning, risk reduction and resilience. Linda has spent several years bridging the communication deficit and breaking down private sector silos between event stakeholders, government agencies and emergency managers which is paramount to ensuring that all participants better understand each other’s roles and responsibilities.
Linda is the first event industry professional to be accepted into this prestigious program. Linda has expressed the desire to share the knowledge she gleans from her participation with event industry professionals and stake holders.
The Linder Global Team is very proud of Linda and thankful to the Center for Homeland Security and Defense, Navy Postgraduate School for affording Linda the privilege of participating in the Executive Leaders Program. Talk about “Making Your Mark”!!!!!!
