Linder is “over the moon” to be the lead event partner for the 50th anniversary celebration of Apollo 11, hosted by the National Air and Space Museum for NASA . This celebration will take place from July 16th – July 20th 2019 in various locations in the Washington area. The commemoration includes a festival on the Mall with 20 tented displays featuring hands on activities from exhibitors such as Boeing, The LEGO Group, and NASA. Perhaps one of the most anticipated features of the celebration is the “Apollo 50: Go for the Moon” program with a projection showing of the 363-foot Saturn V rocket directly onto the Washington Monument. With supporting screens, the projection tells the captivating story of Apollo 11 and the first moon landing in a way we’ve never seen before.

The free show at the Washington Monument will take place three times both July 19 and 20, at 9:30 p.m., 10:30 p.m., and 11:30 p.m.

50 years ago, millions of people gathered to witness this historic event which is still the most watched television event in U.S history, where Neil Armstrong uttered the famous words “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind”. Armstrong called this flight “a beginning of a new age” and now in 2019, we can reminisce at the historical weight of this event and reflect on all the innovation that has happened since.
