Creating experiential learning experiences
beyond the classroom
Leadership and career skills cannot be taught in a classroom, they must be developed through experience. Enabling students of all ages to explore their interests and gain learning experiences beyond the classroom is Envision Experience. Envision Experience enlisted Linder to plan and orchestrate a multi-faceted educational and historic event in the nation’s capital.
Four thousand global Inaugural Scholars gathered in Washington, DC to participate in one of three simultaneous five-day conferences to commemorate the inauguration of the President and Vice President of the United States in 2013. Daily meetings, plenaries, tours and special events and activities took place across the Washington Metropolitan Area.
On Inauguration Day Linder successfully liaised with five different government agencies to ensure Scholars participated in a memorial celebration on the National Mall viewing the public swearing-in ceremony and the inaugural parade. Transportation was crucial, and Linder’s team skillfully planned and managed group transfers from two airports to five properties for over 4,000 attendees, three to four mass movements a day for 4,000 attendees, and created and executed a strategic plan for accessing downtown Washington, DC with 85 motor coaches. Keynote and panel speakers included Dr. Condoleezza Rice, General Wesley Clark, form Governor Jeb Bush, and Reverend Jesse Jackson.
